CAFÉS – Caregiving Advocacy for Food and Economic Security
CAFÉS is part of Crossroads Women’s Wellness, a community coalition with Family Practice and Counseling Network, Drexel University College of Medicine, and Germantown Friends Meeting Racial and Social Concerns funded in part by the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services. CAFÉS gathers caregivers, elders and those with disabilities together over healthy lunch to tell their stories and advocate for tax credits and other supports for caregiving.
CAFÉS sponsored a pilot project involving interviews and surveys conducted by Drexel College of Medicine students of caregivers and elders on their work and needs. Here are the results of the survey:
